INTRODUCTION TO NOISE RISK TRAINING

The process of risk assessment for the noise hazard is covered in this training session. The problems posed by noise are examined, along with workable solutions to reduce and manage the threats.

 

Permanent hearing loss can result from prolonged exposure to noise. Workplace machines, plants, and equipment can all produce noise. Understanding how risky these activities are and taking the necessary procedures to lower the risks are vital.

To understand and aware of the fundamental, principles and effects of noise towards employees at the workplaces.

By the end of this training, participants should be able to;

 

  • Understand the legal regarding on Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019.
  • Recognize and Understand the adverse effects of noise on hearing.
  • Understand the purpose and benefits of the HCP.
  • Understand the purpose of PHP, the advantages, disadvantages and attenuation of various types of PHP, and instructions on their selection, fitting, use and care.
  • Understand the purpose and brief procedures of audiometric testing including pre-test Instructions.
  • Understand the explanation of the audiometric results and its preventive measures.
  • Understand the noise control plan and program at place of work.

COURSE CONTENT

Topic 1.0 : The legal regarding on Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019.
