INTRODUCTION CHEMICAL SPILL AND RESPONSE TRAINING

This 1-day training program is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to chemical spills in the workplace. The course covers the essential procedures for handling, containing, and cleaning up chemical spills, as well as ensuring the safety of personnel and minimizing environmental impact. Participants will learn about personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response protocols, and reporting procedures in line with regulatory compliance.

Module 2: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Spill Kits (10:45 AM – 12:00 PM)

  • Understanding PPE and its importance in spill response
  • Demonstration of proper use of PPE
  • Overview of spill response kits and their contents

 

Module 3: Spill Response Procedures (1:00 PM – 2:30 PM)

  • Step-by-step approach to handling chemical spills
  • Containment and isolation techniques
  • Spill cleanup methods for different types of chemicals

 

Module 4: Case Studies and Group Exercises 

  • Review of real-world chemical spill incidents
  • Group exercise: Simulated spill response scenarios
